My dog Blue, who arrived in Massachusetts over the summer as a curious 8-week-old pup who wanted nothing more than to nibble bones (or fingers) by himself all day, has grown up into a more gentle 6-month-old and a bit of a nestler. Oh how I’d love to play hooky again with him on this rainy day, and (after some good fetch in the mud and a serious dog bath) snuggle in for a silly movie like Blue Crush, with his namesake candle warming up the room!
In blue and black, Nest’s Blue Garden Autism Candle is a great gift for a guy or a not-so-girly-gal or anyone who is passionate about the cause of Autism. 100% of net proceeds (yes, 100% – which must be a lot, right? I mean, how much can it cost to make a candle? Didn’t the Pilgrims do it?) go to Autism Speaks, the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization. The candle can be found at Bergdorf Goodman, which seems to have a commitment to gifts for good — more on them to come.
Now, stay dry today and have a snuggly and candle-lit night!
