Lady Bono’s Garden of Edun

So here is Louis Vuitton’s collaborative partner in the Keepall 45 with Shoulder Strap bag from yesterday’s post… Ali Hewson’s Edun!

Edun is a for-profit ethical fashion company that was started by Ali with a mission to encourage sustainable trade with countries in Africa. Edun helped found the Conservation Cotton Initiative, also mentioned yesterday, with Wildlife Conservation Society and Invisible Children. Edun’s website includes a great clip on CCI here.

I just love that soft blue men’s sweater above, and the dark, uniquely-waisted jeans. And the silk dresses — a little reminiscent of the Lauren Pierce Atelier collection at Barneys that I posted about recently?! I wish I could be wearing one to work with tights right now.

Edun has great and affordable accessories too.

And, for those of you who don’t want to splurge on yesterday’s $4900 bag (aka, EVERYONE), watch this video where Ali says she hopes for shoes & bags to come. Louis Vuitton now owns about half of Edun, so I’m thinking Edun’s bags might just be somewhat stylish…
