On a Jog

How cotton-candy sweet! Carolina Pad, a school supply company that was started in North Carolina in 1945, has developed a Commerce with a Conscience partnership and paper collection called Dreamsicle (no wonder I think of orange Creamsicles when I look at these little guys!).

The collection was inspired by the mission of Girls on the Run, a great sports-based youth development organization, and its founder, Molly Barker, and donates a portion of the proceeds to Girls on the Run.

It also involves a partnership with JACK!E, a company started by artist and mom Jackie Savage Mcfee, who designs all sorts of things, from paper to laptop covers to yoga gear.

The Commerce with a Conscience prints will be available in major retail outlets including Walmart, Office Max, and CVS later this year. What a great gift for the tweens and little girls in your life, or a cheerful splash of color and meaning for your desk at work.

Thanks to my oldest friend, Jessica Brewster Jordan, who is involved with Girls on the Run in the DC area, for sending this along. And to my college roommate Meghan Martin Bracewell for her great work with Girls on the Run in DC as well. On this note, I’m off for a short pre-work jog with Blue!
