Byebye Football, Hello Team Yurman

The football season ended for New Englanders on Sunday, so today’s post is a tribute to one of the NFL’s favorite causes – breast cancer research. This silver and braided bracelet by David Yurman donates 10% of net sales to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and local charity partners of Saks Fifth Avenue stores.

Speaking of jewelry, we sat down to catch up on Mad Men Season Four last night, but then saw that Blood Diamond had just started and promptly watched it all. I own the DVD, but the film still amazes me every time. (If you haven’t seen it, see the clip below or one of my favorite scenes…)

Curiously, the David Yurman website doesn’t address conflict jewels as larger and older houses like Tiffany do…

Nor does David Yurman make much of a to-do about this bracelet or its other quite pretty and pricier products that appear to support breast cancer research. So, I say thanks to Saks for letting us know about the giving, and let’s stay tuned to see how David Yurman evolves…
