Double O Seven for Louis Vuitton

After watching him in First Knight last night, there he was again this morning on the back cover of Forbes! Sean Connery is as dashing as ever, so it’s no surprise that Louis Vuitton has asked the early James Bond to join its brilliant charitable campaign. His ad features the canvas Waterproof Keepall to benefit The Climate Project, the American branch of Al Gore’s climate change leadership program.

Something about his photo channels Hemingway. Perhaps Mr. Connery is about to sail up to Key West for a drink (and a look-alike contest?) with Ernest.

Vuitton’s environment-friendly bag made me think about Recycle Studio, a new spot in Boston’s South End run by Cate Dwyer. Cate’s family has a history of giving back to the Boston community and she is following in their footsteps. The cheerful cycling studio mixes the warmth of exercise with the serenity of yoga, and contributes to a little row of shops that is helping to restore the safety and beauty of the South End.

If you aren’t joining Mr. Connery in the Bahamas for President’s Day, stop by Recycle to warm up and recycle your body and mind, and don’t forget to catch brunch or a Double 0 Seven at next-door neighbor Tremont 647 afterwards!
