Off to Work in Suffragette Style

We’re just back from my sister’s really terrific wedding. While I gather my thoughts and dig out of a pile at work, enjoy this gift idea from my dad’s sister Betsy… A perfect faux alligator handbag for the stylish, socially-conscious, animal-friendly, and entrepreneurial ladies in your life. It’s big enough to throw over your shoulder with a little laptop or files, and 100% of the proceeds benefit the house and museum of suffragette Susan B. Anthony. There are only 2,000 of them, and while they are still on sale for $250, apparently Alec Baldwin just picked one up for $5,000 at a charity auction — check out the feature in The New York Times.

I’m feeling quite motivated by Ms. Anthony’s goals for the social and financial success of women… off to get organized!
