Love is All Around

If you are like me, you’ve been very busy over the last couple weeks and you are still thinking about Valentine’s Day. If you need some ideas for the ladies in your life, here are a few last minute thoughts…

FEED Project’s LOVE bag, providing 25 meals in areas with high rates of HIV/AIDS patients through the UN World Food Programme (WFP).

TOMS new ballerina flats, at Neiman Marcus or the TOMS website.

A Jonathan Adler throw made from alpaca fiber at a small family-owned factory in Peru.

A bright pillow from IndagareSouk.

A lipstick that lasts forever.

And a movie that you’ll watch over and over.

My valentine and I were planning to have dinner at Casablanca in Harvard Square, and then watch its namesake film, but we’re going to save that for next year and visit Lala Rokh, a little Persian restaurant just down the alley from us that we’ve never tried, even though I used to live 20 yards away from it. Apparently it’s named for an epic romance by 19th century poet Thomas Moore. I can’t wait to try the spices.
